Blue Jacket Dairy is a family owned and operated business on the forefront of the revival of cheesemaking in Ohio.

Located in Bellefontaine, Blue Jacket may well be the only fully licensed farmstead dairy in Ohio transforming the Grade-A milk of one herd of Holstein cows into fresh farmstead cheese. Goat's milk from local Amish farms is used in making goat's milk cheeses.

Blue Jacket cheeses include: 

  • Gretna Grilling, a halloumi-style white brined easy-to-love cheese that has a beautiful and tasty golden crust when grilled or fried.
  • Fresh Cheddar Curd, a yummy snacking cheese that is available plain, dill, ranch and smoked chipotle.
  • Quark a light European cheese used in baking and as a substitute for cream cheese, yogurt, or ricotta.  Varieties include: lemon, garlic, and plain.
  • Chevre, a goat’s milk cheeses available in log and roulade. Chive garlic, herb garden, tropical delight, almond honey, and plain.
  • Feta for salad, pizza and Greek pastries.
